a compact low cost home Gym The Knights of the Southern Cross and Knox health groups helped 200 local residents to be wise and get their muscles and joints moving at the Knox Joint Walk on April Fool’s Day at Lewis Park behind Knox City at 11am.
Arthritis is Australia's major cause of disability and chronic pain, but it can be managed, and physical activity is a vital part of this. One in six Australians, or more than 3 million people, of all ages, backgrounds and lifestyles has some form of arthritis.
The Knox Knights demonstrated a low cost home gym donated by Gold Cross Cycles 2 Rezes St, Knox Ozone for a no impact total body workout.

The Hon. Chris Pearce MP - Federal Member for Aston presented the Knox Arthritis Self Help Group with a certificate to celebrate the successful application to the 2006 Volunteer Small Equipment Grants program.
Janette Cooper, chair of the Knox Arthritis Self Help Group, said, "I am delighted that many local organisations including the Knox Knights www.knoxknights.org and ERA TV Ch 31 www.eratv.org are supporting our Knox Joint Walk. One in six Australians of all ages, backgrounds and lifestyles has some form of arthritis, but they may not all know that regular exercise is one of the most effective treatments for arthritis.
A Knights of the Southern Cross, Maurice White, thankfull for open heart surgery at the Alfred Hospital after a heart attack, said "Walking is also good for your heart."
